Commercial Applications, Inc. was founded in 1980 to design, develop and market
products for a maturing profession -- retail and commercial property management. In early
1980, ICA was contracted by the International Council of Shopping Centers
(ICSC) to embark on a project that would enable its 25,000 members to begin
to enjoy the benefits and advantages of automation. The project took two years to
complete, and CenterSoftI was born in 1984. Since that time, the name CenterSoft has become synonymous with superior quality and service. Two years later, CenterSoftII was introduced. CenterSoftII was designed to take advantage of state of the art technological improvements and innovations including networks. However, the most significant quality of CenterSoftII is the people who made major contributions to its revolutionary and innovative features -- our end users. CenterSoftII is a product that enjoys a bright future due to the commitment that ICA has made, and due to the commitments of other companies such as Novell and Advanced Business Microsystems (ABM), both of whom support Btrieve, the file manager that is the core and foundation of CenterSoftII. In June 1988, ABM and ICA cultivated a business relationship that would ultimately integrate two products, both superior in their respective markets, to satisfy the needs of those end users who require a very powerful and flexible property management system and a very capable and far-reaching accounting system. By that November, ABM approved ICA's first interface, CenterSoftII to Platinum's General Ledger. A reverse integration with Platinum's Payroll package was introduced a few months later. ICA will continue to express its dedication to the expansion of the options and capabilities available to existing CenterSoftII users. In the same year, ICA announced a
national dealer program that would enhance the awareness level and accessibility of
CenterSoftII in the United States, Canadian, and
Latin American markets. The staff at ICA is comprised of experienced professionals in the fields of property management, real estate development, accounting, and computer science who share the common goal to provide the best products, the best service and the best support to the vertical market of property management and development. |
